April 2018 : AVe technical mission for a cooperative of pork producers - Cameroon
4th Ave expert mission for the SCOOPS-PIC pork producer Cooperative in Cameroon
From March 21 to April 5, 2018 Denis Salaun and Bernard Bernicot, AVe experts, carried out a new mission with the breeders of the SCOOP-PIC in Yaounde.
New very dense mission with 14 farms audited.
This mission followed the interventions carried out in June and November 2017 by two other AVe experts. In total, no less than 14 farms were audited by Bernard Bernicot on the technical and sanitary level with the delivery of an individualized diagnostic advice for each of them. In addition, a draft genetic selection scheme for the improvement of herds was presented to the members of the Management Board of the cooperative. The cooperative's food factory was also the subject of a diagnosis in order to improve the quality of the various ranges of food offered to members
Establishment of an operating report
First and foremost, Denis Salaun has carried out an assessment of the functioning of the SCOOPS-PIC while advising various recommendations for the bookkeeping as well as for the administrative and financial organization.
The implementation of some accounting and financial indicators have also been suggested to them as well as the acquisition of various high-performance hardware.
All of these recommendations have been presented to members at the mission closing meeting on April 2nd.
The various other AVe expert interventions scheduled for the coming months are therefore confirmed. They should enable us to maintain our support to this young cooperative which really needs it during this delicate start-up phase.
